The 13th Edition of the Fanisi experiment, held at Geco café on February 7th,2024, turned out to be a success, solidifying its reputation as a vital platform for the Kenyan Hip-hop scene. Fanisi’s commendable commitment to supporting the genre through free entry created an inclusive space for both artist and fans.
Some Hip-hop artist such as HR the messenger, Wakadinali, Hakimi-wakadinali’s manager, Saisa, Sudough and Tulia were present. They came to show support to the amazing Katapilla. Onduthestreetlawyer, one of the best hip-hop radio presenters was also present.
Katapilla took to the stage with a dynamic performance, treating the audiences to a variety of songs from Pressure to Belinda. His seamless collaboration with skillo and Hassano made the live band performance more interesting. Skillo added a layer of excitement to the set by performing various songs from pharmaceuticals to Eastlands with sewersydaa, out of the mauru unit album. Wakadinali followed suit with a great performance and Sudough showcased his exceptional talent, leaving a lasting impression on the crowd.
The turnout at Geco café reflected the strong support for Kenyan hip-hop. Fans turnout to support the artists showed appreciation to the music and the fostering of a sense of community among hip-hop enthusiast.
The success of the 13th edition of the Fanisi experiment can be attributed to the overwhelming support of Fanisimuzik. By continuing to provide a platform for Kenyan hip-hop artists and for fans to interact , Fanisimuzic will continue to be cornerstone in promoting and growing Kenyan Hip-hop.
