Job Summary

Better Being is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Account Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately applying domestic and international customer payments, resolving discrepancies, and reviewing credit holds. You’ll collaborate with team members to ensure account accuracy and contribute to maintaining efficient departmental operations. The ideal candidate has strong Excel and 10-key skills, excellent attention to detail, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Essential Functions

  • Applies domestic and international customer payments to specific invoices daily via check, wire, and credit card.
  • Must pay close attention to detail to eliminate errors on the customer’s account.
  • Proficient in 10-key and Excel
  • Review, contact customers, and release orders that are on credit hold.
  • Assist and communicate with team members with short/overpayment information or check discrepancy resolution

Additional Responsibilities

  • Required to cross- train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the department.
  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with one year of experience and a basic knowledge of accounting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret check remittances or other forms of payment. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; and talk or hear.
  • The employee must exert up to five lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
