Title: Quality Inspector

Location: San Diego, California

Duration: 6 months [Temp to Hire]

SHIFT: 5:30 AM to 02:00 PM

Pay Rate: 17.00 /hr. - USD 33.00 /hr.

JOB DESCRIPTION

2+ years of aerospace quality inspection experience required (preferably in an AS9100-regulated environment).

Proficient in the use of precision measuring and calibration instruments, including but not limited to:

• Micrometers (ID/OD)
• Calipers
• Dial indicators
• Bore gauges
• Height gauges
• Surface finish testers
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and inspection instructions.
• Familiarity with non-conformance documentation and regulatory compliance tracking.
• Working knowledge of FAA/DOT safety-sensitive environments.
• Basic computer skills for logging inspections and reporting quality data.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and procedural compliance.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-process and final inspections on aerospace engine components and assemblies to ensure conformance to customer and internal specifications.
• Verify dimensional and visual characteristics using calibrated inspection tools.
• Record and document inspection results and manage any non-conforming material in accordance with quality procedures.
• Support the generation of accurate and timely inspection reports for internal and customer use.
• Work independently and collaboratively to support production and meet turnaround schedules.
• Maintain compliance with all Chromalloy safety, quality, and regulatory procedures.
