Position Title: Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator Program Name: AmeriCorps Youth Education & Enrichment at Boys & Girls Clubs of The Northwest Suburbs Term of Service: Complete 1,700 hours as a Full-Time Member between September 1st, 2025 - August 31st, 2026 Position Summary: The Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and sustaining meaningful relationships between the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs and the community it serves. This role oversees all aspects of the volunteer program, builds strong partnerships with individuals, businesses, and community groups, and supports events and initiatives that increase community involvement and support for the organization. Key Responsibilities: Volunteer Coordination ? Recruit, screen, train, and onboard volunteers to support club programming, events, and administration. ? Maintain volunteer records and databases, including background checks and hours tracking. ? Match volunteers to appropriate opportunities and supervise volunteer activities. ? Plan and implement volunteer appreciation and recognition efforts. ? Regularly evaluate volunteer needs in collaboration with staff and program leads. Community Engagement ? Act as a liaison between the Club and community organizations, businesses, schools, and civic groups. ? Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise awareness of the Club's mission and services. ? Represent the Club at community events, resource fairs, and networking opportunities ? Assist families with the membership registration process, on an as needed basis. To provide families with technical support.
