Job Description Job Description Behavioral Crisis Response Program Supervisor at Canopy Roots This position is designed to supervise and provide support to Crisis Responders and Lead Crisis Responders for the Minneapolis Behavioral Crisis Response Program (BCR). The goal of BCR is to de-escalate non-violent crisis situations by compassionately responding to the unique needs of community members in need. Our culturally diverse crisis responders are mental health practitioners, and we require extensive and ongoing training in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care. Job Details Location: While there is some flexibility in this position, 80% or more is required in-person at the Canopy Roots office base located in NE Minneapolis. Hiring Salary: Starts at $80,000 commensurate with qualification and experience Hours/Day : 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays - Saturdays; A typical work week is 40 hours, though occasional work outside of typical hours may be required. Job Type: Full Time, Exempt Essential Job Functions Provide consistent in-field shadowing of crisis responders and offer constructive feedback for improvement. Offer clinical consultation for crisis responders and approve transportation holds when necessary. Collaborate with other supervisors to develop and deliver engaging, clinically focused training for crisis responders. Hold on-call duties during working days and evenings, as scheduled. Work with Administrative staff and Lead Responders to maintain an accurate and functional responder schedule. Conduct regular individual supervision with crisis responder supervisees. Facilitate a weekly group supervision meeting focused on training, case consultation, and collaborative problem-solving. Complete necessary documentation to ensure program compliance with data collection and outcome measurement requirements. Co-lead and facilitate onboarding of new crisis responders, including acting as a point of contact, providing training, and tracking onboarding tasks in collaboration with People Operations Provide Critical Incident Debriefing in collaboration with other program supervisors and Lead Crisis Responders. Monitor program needs and provide suggestions and feedback on policy changes to the Program Manager. Implement and communicate policy and procedure updates to the team. Collaborate closely as part of a three-supervisor team to ensure consistency across different shifts and parts of the week. Take ownership of efforts to implement and reinforce sound clinical practices within the program. Provide meaningful, specific, and actionable feedback on responder performance. Proactively address staff concerns and, when necessary, engage responders in the progressive discipline process. Perform other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor. Must be licensed as a mental health professional in the state of Minnesota (e.g. LP, LICSW, LPCC, LMFT). Must hold a master's degree in behavioral sciences or a related field, and have completed or in the process of completing 4,000 hours of post-masters supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services aimed at treating mental health concerns. Must be passionate and knowledgeable about the provision of culturally responsive community-based services, equitable healthcare access, and social and economic challenge of the clients that they serve. Experience working with diverse clientele. Experience leading teams and hiring personnel.
