Lanza Vineyards, Inc. is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team.

Job Description:
This position is responsible for managing the accounting for multiple entities. The position reports directly to the CEO with support and oversight from an outsourced accounting firm.

Essential Functions:
•  Process accounts payable, including coding, data entry, and vendor payment
•  Process accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
•  Manage cash flow
•  Grower contract management and invoicing
•  Process and record payroll
•  Record ACH debits from bank
•  Process all inventory transfers between warehouses
•  Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries as necessary
•  Track and reconcile intercompany accounting
•  Work with external CPA firm on month end and year end close
•  Manage all forms and files for insurance policies

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on a team as well as independently. The ability to meet deadlines and a strong sense of time management are a must.
•  Minimum 3 or more years of accounting experience in the wine business or related business
•  Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel required
•  Data entry with high level of detail accuracy
•  Strong understanding of standard accounting principles and practices
•  Ability to use mathematics to solve problems
•  Ability to think critically – use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to issues
•  Impeccable written communication
•  Reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations
•  Honest and ethical
•  Discretion and confidentiality are required
