Job Description
Overview:
Gourmet Catering by Andrew is seeking a friendly, reliable Café Attendant to join our team in Newton. This guest-facing role is ideal for someone who enjoys a welcoming community atmosphere, takes pride in excellent customer service, and is comfortable with light food preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet and serve café guests in a courteous and efficient manner
· Prepare and serve light food and beverages
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area
· Monitor food safety and handling procedures
· Assist with inventory and restocking supplies as needed
· Provide a warm and inclusive experience for all community members
Requirements:
· Prior customer service or café/food service experience preferred
· Availability to work Sundays and adhere to the posted weekly schedule
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Must be able to pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information)check
· A commitment to supporting a welcoming and inclusive environment for all
Position Type: Full-time (with Sunday availability)
Schedule:
· Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
· Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
· Saturday: Closed
Hourly Rate: $20–$24 per hour
