SpiriTrust Lutheran is now hiring a Full-Time Day Chaplain. This position would support pastoral needs at both The Village at Luther Ridge (Chambersburg) and The Village at Gettysburg (Gettysburg).
Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: A Master’s degree from an accredited theological seminary; ordained or consecrated in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America normally required; will consider those rostered in full communion with the ELCA. Specialized pastoral care endorsement required or must successfully complete within three (3) years of appointment to position.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; moderate PC skills; demonstrated ability in dealing with people; knowledge of bereavement and grief counseling; valid driver's license.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a parish ministry is required for ordained candidates.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for providing pastoral care and ministry; coordinating work within the Community; reporting pertinent information to the Executive Director; responding to inquiries or requests from residents and other LSS staff, etc
