Position Overview
We are seeking a Chief of Administration Officer, a key member of the network’s overall leadership team. This strategic leadership role reports to the CEO and oversees and optimizes Brick’s operational functions, including finance, human resources, network operations, and Regional Operations (Including Board Management). This role will ensure that all operational areas are aligned with the organization’s mission, values, and strategic objectives, fostering efficiency, compliance, and growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, alignment with BRICK’s mission, analytical abilities, and cross-functional expertise to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Finance & Administration
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure financial stability and sustainability.
Collaborate with the finance team to maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Monitor financial performance and recommend strategic improvements to enhance overall effectiveness.
Capital stack development for facilities development
People and Talent
Support HR leadership with operations, ensuring policies, benefits, and compliance align with organizational goals.
Support Human Resources with employee relations, performance management, and professional development initiatives.
Support a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
Network Operations
Ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement in administrative and logistical functions.
Lead system-wide planning and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to support infrastructure and service delivery.
Regional Operations
Provide end-to-end governance support for each regional charter school board—prepare materials, maintain compliance calendars, and ensure all actions align with statutory requirements and BRICK’s mission.
Cultivate an engaged, mission-aligned governance network by leading board recruitment for Regional Boards and onboarding, organizing joint learning sessions and retreats, and fostering cross-regional collaboration and best-practice sharing.

Risk Management & Compliance – Ability to assess risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement policies to mitigate potential issues. Leadership Mindset: Foster a culture of integrity and proactive risk awareness, guiding the team with clarity and transparency.
Change Management & Adaptability – Skill in leading organizational change, managing transitions, and ensuring smooth adoption of new processes. Leadership Mindset: Be a change champion—remain resilient, encourage agility, and help others navigate uncertainty with optimism.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement – Excellent communication ability with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring department alignment. Leadership Mindset: Communicate purposefully, listen actively, and build trust through authentic, transparent dialogue.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (Master’s preferred). ● Minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience in operations, finance, HR, or a related field.
Proven track record in strategic planning, process improvement, and team leadership.
Strong understanding of financial management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Evidence of being able to learn on a steep curve and the ability to execute in a high-paced environment.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
