Human Support Services is looking to hire a Full-time Crisis Program Supervisor.
The Crisis Program Supervisor has the primary responsibility for the overall delivery of crisis response services both in office and within the community, and provides the required individual and/or group supervision consistent with the regulatory board requirements.
1. Provide clinical care to individuals utilizing crisis services, which include crisis response, crisis stabilization, crisis follow up, and emergency intakes. Crisis supervisor will have a productivity goal of 15 hours/week of direct care which may be supplemented with case management, intakes, and semi-annual reviews.
2. Crisis supervisor will provide training and case consultation with clinicians centered on crisis services and safety planning.
3. Review documentation of crisis staff to ensure such meets expectations of HSS and all funder sources as applicable for client care including HFS, Medicaid, MCO’s, SUPR, 3rd party insurance and self-pay clients.
4. Oversee Performance and Quality Improvement Plans and participate in discussion regarding program goals, data collection and/or analysis.
5. Utilize Recovery Oriented Services and Trauma Informed Care in recognizing the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledge the role that trauma has played in the lives of the clients/residents. Including but not limited to promoting best Clinical practices during Clinical staffing and supervision as well as when providing crisis response services.
6. Collaborate with various external professionals including school personnel, community partners, DCFS, DMH, attorneys, etc., in partnership with Clinical Director.
7. Be available for after-hours support to clinicians and staff.
8. Ensure staff are compliant with services delivery and continuum of care.
9. Participate in internal and external multidisciplinary case review meetings, including but not limited to weekly clinical meetings and monthly prescriber staffing.
10. Create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and energetic commitment and serve as a role model in carrying out the Mission of HSS.
11. Promote and support the attitudes, behaviors, knowledge and skills necessary to work respectfully and effectively with each other as well as demonstrate the ability to address the needs of individuals in crisis.
12. Attend all required mental health meetings (internal/external), in-service training's, and supervision.
13. Complete performance evaluations for assigned staff.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Education : Requires knowledge and skills in mental development. A Master’s Degree in a human service related area, knowledge of mental illness, substance abuse and developmentally disabled services, on-the-job experience in similar positions, and experience and working knowledge in a community mental health setting is preferred. Five years clinical experience and two years administrative/management experience in the same or related field is preferred. LCSW or LCPC is preferred. Must meet qualifications of a QMHP under Illinois statues.
Experience/Skills : Preference given to candidates with experience supervising clinical/counseling staff in a community mental health center setting. Knowledge of and experience using administrative and supervisory principles and practices. Knowledge of budgeting, planning and program analysis methods and techniques. Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and effectively exercise authority, to prepare written and oral reports and records, and to plan, assign, organize, supervise and evaluate the work of others. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, State and county departments, and the general public.
Must have personal transportation and valid driver’s license in order to move to and from assigned locations. Have normal hearing and eyesight or corrective appliances which would allow for normal hearing and eyesight in order to relate to clients. Be able to lift at least 25 pounds, have the strength and agility to climb at least two flights of stairs and the emotional stability enough to react in a prescribed manner to a client in crisis.
