About the Role:  

Maverick Real Estate Partners is a data-focused private equity fund manager that invests in commercial real estate credit. We're looking for a curious and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team and help support and evolve how we use data to inform investment and management decisions. You’ll partner with investment and data professionals to deliver insights that matter. 

What You’ll Do:

• Develop expertise covering all aspects of Maverick’s data ecosystem, helping us utilize our extensive data resources to find innovative solutions to investment, fundraising and operational challenges. 
• Work within a cross-functional team of domain experts, analysts, data scientists and engineers.
• Analyze data sets to assess quality and usefulness across various analysis and data mining/modeling use cases.
• Collaborate on ELT and orchestration projects; help to continually improve our automation efforts.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to support trends research, investment analysis and decision-making.
• Develop visualizations for internal and external presentation.
• Build and maintain dashboards that visualize various factors about the New York City real estate market and Maverick’s investment portfolio.
• Prepare both structured and unstructured data for AI/ML modeling use cases. 
• Work with data engineering support to continually improve data quality and structure.

Technical Qualifications:

• Excellent SQL skills
• Some experience with Python and/or R
• Experience working in Google Cloud Platform (especially BigQuery) and/or with DBT is a plus
• Some experience with or interest in data visualization
• Experience working with APIs or JSON data is a plus

Compensation will include a salary of $100,000. This is a full-time, in-office position. Benefits include a 401(k) plan with employer match as well as medical, dental and vision insurance plans.
