Job Description
Lafayette, LA & Ville Platte, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking Commercial Electrical Helpers/Apprentices for a full time position with a confidential client. This role supports licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on commercial construction and renovation projects.
Essential Duties
• Assist journeyman electricians with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components
• Pull wire, bend and install EMT conduit (½–1 inch), and help set up work areas
• Read and follow basic blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams under supervision
• Maintain a clean and organized job site and ensure tools and materials are readily available
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols on the job site
• Learn and develop electrical trade skills through on-the-job training
Requirements/Skills
• Some electrical or construction experience preferred but not required
• Strong interest in learning the electrical trade and willingness to take direction
• Ability to safely use hand and basic power tools
• OSHA-10 certification (or ability to obtain)
• Must provide basic hand tools (list provided at hire)
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds
• Comfortable working on ladders and lifts in indoor and outdoor environments
• Capable of working in varying weather conditions while wearing required PPE (hard hat, work boots, gloves, safety glasses)
Schedule & Pay
• Typical schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts (occasional partial Friday)
• Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
