*Summary*

Valiant Search, an upstate New York-based legal search firm that partners with many leading firms in the Capital Region, is seeking an experienced *Family & Matrimonial Attorney* on behalf of a well-established Albany law practice. This role offers the chance to join a highly regarded firm, take on challenging and rewarding cases, and play an integral role in the continued growth of its family law practice.

*Responsibilities*

* Represent clients in all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, and related litigation.
* Manage cases independently from intake to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, negotiating settlements, and appearing in court.
* Provide thoughtful, strategic, and compassionate counsel to clients during complex and sensitive matters.
* Maintain and build strong client relationships, with an eye toward practice development and long-term growth.

*Qualifications*

* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
* Admission to practice law in New York State (in good standing).
* Minimum of *5 years’ experience* handling family and matrimonial law matters.
* Strong litigation, negotiation, and client service skills.
* A portable book of business is preferred but not required.

*Compensation & Benefits*

* Base salary of *$160,000 – $200,000+*, depending on experience and book of business.
