Summary The Junior Data Analyst supports the Data & Analytics team by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to assist in operational and financial decision-making. This entry-level role requires SQL and Excel technical skills. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The analyst will work under the guidance of senior team members. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Assist with developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track performance metrics and trends. Perform basic data analysis to support initiatives in quality improvement, cost tracking, and efficiency monitoring. Help extract, clean, and organize data using SQL and Excel. Support internal teams with ad-hoc data requests and recurring reporting needs. Attend meetings with analysts and business leaders to understand data needs and provide insight. Learn to use tools such as Tableau or Power BI for visualization and reporting. Document methodologies and ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and introductory SQL. Interest in using data to drive decision-making in a real-world business context. Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to present findings in a clear and structured way. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Minimum Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field. Basic experience working with data sets in Excel and/or SQL (academic or internship experience acceptable). Strong desire to grow professionally in the field of data analysis. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Experience working on academic projects or internships involving data collection or analysis. Interest in learning more about the healthcare industry and value-based care models over time.
