Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team. In this role, you will learn about and handle various HR functions, including hiring & recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to properly handle confidential information, and a passion for fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Hiring, Recruiting, Onboarding:
  • Manage various aspects of the recruitment process, including posting and editing job openings.
  • Oversee the Onboarding process for new hires, including building an employee in Continuum, completing their I-9, verifying all paperwork is complete and communicating new hire progress to the stores
Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflicts.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Support the implementation of employee engagement programs and initiatives.
Payroll Processing:
  • Review timecards within Brinks to review pay rates, hours, and catch miscalculations before report downloads.
  • Download payroll reports for all locations and edit for proper Continuum upload
  • Upload reports to Continuum and add any store level additions, send reports to stores and DMs for approval before final submission
Compliance & Policy Management:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Ensure company policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Ensure stores are complying with company policies and practices, correct and coach as needed
Training & Development:
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs on topics such as compliance, leadership, and employee development.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating learning opportunities for employees.
