We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our Operations & Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration, coordination, and management of the responsibilities set forth below.


This role will support our sites in and around Bremond, Texas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up new inventory warehouses and develop processes and procedures to maintain the proper stock levels and accurate count.
  • Will lead all procurement requirements for the Operations & Maintenance department.
  • Inventory Specialist will need problem-solving skills to come up with ways to improve overall efficiency and resolve inventory problems.
  • Executes the sourcing process for the Operations & Maintenance department.
  • Analyzes responses to complex bid requests, points out commercial differences, and makes succinct recommendations in selecting appropriate suppliers for contract awards.
  • Develops new sources of supply and monitors ongoing supplier performance.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Good organizational skills are necessary for the Inventory Specialist to take charge of organizing inventory and improving the efficiency of the selection and shipping and receiving process.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are crucial for negotiating contracts, interviewing new vendors, educating all employees involved with inventory management and developing new inventory processes.
  • Eager to wear multiple hats depending on business need and project priorities
  • High comfort level with small teams and organizations, with the curiosity and enthusiasm to innovate and formulate new ideas and to bring the best out of co-workers
  • Must be able to take ownership and initiative, in order to be to be effective within a highly motivated, fast-moving team and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • May require work outside of normal business hours

Education & Experience
  • 2- or 4-year degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management or supply chain, preferably in the renewables or construction industry
