Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this role involves assisting with system layout, equipment selection, energy modeling, and construction documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, is eager to grow through mentorship, and is committed to delivering energy-efficient, reliable, and code-compliant designs.
Primary Responsibilities :
Assist in the design and layout of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, ventilation, and equipment selection for 24x7 mission-critical environments.
Prepare, revise, and maintain construction drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar design software.
Support mechanical system load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing using tools such as Trace 700, HAP, or eQUEST.
Participate in field surveys, site investigations, and facility condition assessments.
Assist with commissioning, testing, and balancing of mechanical systems to ensure performance and compliance.
Review submittals, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), and support construction administration activities.
Ensure designs and documentation meet applicable building codes and standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, IMC, and LEED.
Maintain organized engineering documentation including reports, technical memos, and as-built drawings.
Gain hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) used for centralized control of HVAC, lighting, and life safety systems.
