Quality Control Engineer
We are looking for a
Quality Control Engineer to join our team at EMD!
As a Quality Control Engineer, you will have responsibility for the design and implementation of quality control software inspection programs.

Your Challenge: \n - Design and implement quality control software inspection programs including, but not limited to: Inspection plans, measurement methods and data recording forms/records; Quality Control systems, methods, and procedures; Gage Lab calibration and Gage Control oversight; Supplier inspection verification and evaluation of delivered product; New product inspection support and data analysis.
\n \n - Provide technical support, inspection equipment and training to inspectors, as needed.
\n \n - Participate in internal and external audits, surveillances, and provide technical support for such activities.
\n \n - Review and approve drawings, routings, specifications, procedures, and similar documents related to assigned projects. Perform vendor inspection data reviews for accuracy and completeness.
\n \n - Perform inspections and provide data analysis information to support new product design initiatives, or to aid in the determination of root cause, and corrective actions, as requested; help identify potential project or supplier quality issues.
\n \n - Review, evaluate, and respond to external customer and/or supplier correspondence; provide assistance to Suppliers, as required, with drawing interpretation and inspection techniques that meet EMD's expectations.
\n \n - Participate in the preparation and maintenance of quality control procedures and related department and divisional procedures.

What You Bring: \n - Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering.
\n \n - 2-6 years of experience in a QC Engineering position in General Industry.
\n \n - Experience with programming inspection systems, like CMMs, and CAD software like AutoCAD or Solid Edge.
\n \n - Application development using VB, MS Access, Python, C++ or other programming language.
\n \n - General knowledge of dimensional inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, functional gaging, etc.
\n \n - Trained/Certified in PCDMIS and/or PolyWorks software programming is desired.
\n \n - Oral and written communication skills.
\n \n - Detail oriented with the ability to learn on the fly.
\n \n - Comprehensive understanding of Windows 10 and MS Office.
\n \n - Knowledge of ERP systems.
\n \n - Ability to work in a team environment is essential.
\n \n - Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens
\n \n - Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
