This position provides services to dairy farmers in Oregon
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least three (3) years refrigeration experience in industrial setting as a service technician
- EPA certification
- Completion of relevant technical training courses such as refrigeration, electrical/electronics, welding, plumbing, etc.
- Driver's license to drive company vehicle
Preferred (Not Required)
- Dairy experience and understanding of dairy milking equipment operation, installation, and repair

- Employer conducts DMV records check prior to employment and random drug test may be administered
- Employer provides specialty tools
- This position serves all of Oregon, possible overnight stay may be required (company paid)
- Position involves lifting objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
Job Duties
- Repair broken and/or malfunctioning dairy equipment effectively and efficiently using instruments, tools, and reasoning techniques to diagnose and resolve equipment, machinery, and system problems
- Properly complete and submit all paperwork in a timely manner by adhering to company procedures and timeframes for thoroughly filling out work orders, expense reports, and purchased items
- Sell the customer the necessary repair parts, equipment, and machinery to ensure efficient operation by conducting thorough troubleshooting and repair of the machinery, equipment, and systems
- Consistently maintain a professional image with customers and keeping both the inside and outside of the company vehicle clean and well-organized
- Participate in service calls after hours and emergencies by responding to customer requests for service between 4 PM and 7 AM during the week and providing around-the-clock support on weekends in a rotational schedule with other service technicians
- Communicate timely and effectively with co-workers and customers by utilizing good written and verbal communication skills, promptly returning all phone calls and messages initiated during the workday and addressing emergency calls as soon as possible
- Encourage workplace harmony and teamwork by demonstrating courteous, assertive, and professional behavior, maintaining a positive attitude towards the job, customers, co-workers, and the company
- Continuously enhance professional skills and personal attributes by attending staff meetings, educational seminars, and other relevant events. Improve technical and professional competence through ongoing education, setting and achieving personal goals, and developing problem-solving and leadership skills
- Other duties as assigned
Wage, Hours and Benefits:
- $30 to $50 per hour, depending on experience and qualification
- Typical schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Rotating on-call which includes weekends when on-call
