Position Summary:

This position is in the ACU - Ambulatory Care Unit. The Surgery Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients requiring an invasive procedure based upon age specific and cultural needs. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols. Monitors the sterile field and surgical environment to prevent infection. Follows Universal Protocol and participates in time out as part of patient safety initiatives. Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. The RN provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. ***Per Diem Position***

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing Required. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred. 

• An Active Arizona RN License or Compact License required.

• Certifications: ACLS; BLS & PALS (all within 30 days of hire)

• 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
