Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.

Department/Unit Summary

Provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing standards, including administering treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care. Prioritizes urgent needs, supports activities of daily living, and collaborates across disciplines for coordinated care and discharge planning. Educates patients and families based on individual needs and advocates for their physical and emotional well-being. Demonstrates expertise in perioperative care by adhering to AORN standards, assisting surgeons, maintaining sterile technique, and performing accurate surgical counts. Reports and documents variances promptly to ensure patient safety and quality care.
