We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking SEO Specialist to join our growing digital team. The ideal candidate is not only skilled in traditional SEO best practices but also understands the evolving landscape of search, including Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). You will be responsible for optimizing content across traditional search engines as well as AI-powered and generative platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s AI Overviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct keyword research and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies.
• Implement SEO strategies that drive attendance, exhibitor leads, and sponsor engagement across multiple B2B event sites
• Analyze website performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and BrightEdge
• Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize website pages and landing pages for both human and machine readability.
• Develop and implement AEO strategies to ensure content is discoverable and performative in AI-generated summaries and responses.
• Optimize content for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), targeting visibility within platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini (Google SGE), Perplexity, and other LLM-driven discovery tools.
• Monitor and adapt to algorithm updates across both traditional search engines and generative platforms.
• Stay updated on emerging SEO technologies and best practices in AI-driven search.
• Perform regular technical audits and implement technical SEO improvements.
• Provide reporting and insights on SEO performance, traffic growth, and SERP rankings.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in SEO, with a track record of successful optimization strategies.
• Proven understanding of how to drive traffic, leads, and visibility through organic channels.
• Experience optimizing content for AI search models and AI-generated responses.
• Knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and how generative tools surface content.
• Proficient in SEO tools such as Google Search Console, BrightEdge, etc.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven SEO decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical learners
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website architecture is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of how LLMs interpret and summarize web content.
• Familiarity with structured data and schema markup.
• Previous experience in content marketing or UX optimization.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $60,000-65,000

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
