As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone you encounter. This position requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:30 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:30 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit. Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related inquiries and procedures. Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal guidelines. Support emergency response activities as needed, coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management when appropriate. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Access control or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
