We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Engineer to join our team in Mountain View, CA . The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and components, with a proven track record in diagnosing and resolving complex HVAC issues. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

$59.13/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate understanding of HVAC principles, system components, electrical wiring, and refrigerant handling.
  2. Diagnose and repair HVAC malfunctions, identify faulty parts, and restore functionality.
  3. Analyze system issues using BAS, blueprints, schematics, pressure readings, airflow, and electrical diagrams.
  4. Explain HVAC issues to occupants, discuss maintenance, and answer questions.
  5. Perform preventive maintenance on HVACR and chiller systems, including mobilization of tools and materials.
  6. Support co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, and engineers as needed.
  7. Ensure work adheres to established standards and quality practices.
  8. Assist other trades when necessary.
  9. Troubleshoot equipment to determine problems and execute repairs efficiently.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of Skilled Trades experience
  • 5+ years working with HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of building equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interpret drawings, work orders, sketches, and manuals

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Bending, squatting, and working in uncomfortable positions
  • Working on ladders or scaffolding
  • Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to work in emergency conditions
