Apex Systems is currently hiring for Technical Writer to join a growing client in Greenwood Village, CO.

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

Onsite expectation: 4 days onsite per week

Pay range: $45-55/hr

We’re building a cutting-edge developer platform that exposes internal features, data, and functionality to external developers. You’ll help shape how we speak to that audience—through API docs, onboarding flows, requirement specs, and even marketing content for our evolving website.

Ideal Experience:

• 3–7+ years of Technical Writing experience for technical audiences
• Direct experience writing for developer tools and APIs, especially developer portals is preferred
• Swagger/OpenAPI documentation exposure is a plus!
• Comfortable in fast-paced, iterative environments with shifting priorities

Soft Skills:

• Self-starter who thrives independently
• Communicates clearly with diverse stakeholders
• Obsessed with accuracy, clarity, and consistency

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain developer-focused documentation (think APIs, OAuth, RESTful services)
• Help define and document onboarding processes using sandbox environments
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners to clarify technical concepts
• Build requirement docs for new tools as they’re deployed
• Contribute to external-facing marketing content (e.g., API descriptions, landing pages)

Key tools:

• Markdown, Git/GitLab
• API documentation best practices
• Postman & Swagger familiarity
• HTML/CSS/JavaScript (basic understanding)
• Confluence (macros welcome!)
• Lucidchart (basic usage)
