Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Case Management for a travel nursing job in Orange, California.

Position: Acute Care Case Manager (Traveler)

• Experience Required:
  • Minimum 2 years recent acute hospital case management/discharge planning
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
• Certifications/Skills:
  • Acute hospital case management
  • Discharge planning
  • Appeals & denials
  • CMS & Department of Health knowledge
  • DRG review
  • Disability case management
  • Prior authorizations
  • Worker’s compensation
  • HIPAA compliance
  • Needs assessment/DME ordering
  • Care coordination & plan of care
  • Familiarity with ICU, Med-Surg, and SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs
  • The Joint Commission/Core Measures/National Safety Goals

Patient Care & Unit Info

• Setting: 463-bed acute care hospital
• Daily Census: ~22 patients per CM
• Patient Population: Adults, all diagnoses
• Support Services: IV team, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, phlebotomy, radiology, interpretation services, rapid response, lift teams, transportation, unit secretary
• Required Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite

Scheduling & Coverage

• Weekend Requirement: 1–2 weekend days/month, exchange for weekday off
• Holiday Coverage: Must work 3 of 5 (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
• Call/Floating: No call; must float to other facilities within state as needed
