Travel Pharmacist – Oncology | Pittsfield, MA
Start: 9/29/2025
Duration: 13 weeks Shift Type: Days Hours/Day: 8 Shift Notes: Monday–Friday, 7:00a–3:30p, 8:00a–4:00p, or 8:30a–5:00p. Must be available for any/all shifts as needed (40 hr/week). Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None; holiday coverage if required On Call: NoRole Summary:
The Staff Pharmacist in Oncology provides patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team of pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other personnel. Key responsibilities include assessing patient therapy, preventing adverse drug events, conducting clinical research, and providing operational and educational support for new treatment regimens.Responsibilities:
Assess patient therapy for appropriateness and age-specific modifications
Conduct clinical research and professional development programs
Serve as liaison to other departments at the Cancer and Infusion Center
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel
Ensure proper preparation of IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and sterile products
Maintain medication inventory and update department/nursing policies
Standardize ordering procedures for chemotherapeutic medications
Specialty pharmacy medication management
Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology strongly preferred
Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) strongly preferred
5+ years extensive acute care clinical experience
Ability to mix compounds required
Must work independently and supervise support personnel

Alaris Smart Pump, infusion pumps, Dose Edge, Simplify797
Pharmacy automated medication dispensing systems
Vertical/horizontal laminar air flow hoods, ancillary IV room equipment
Syringes, needles, graduates, calculators, fax machine, Vocera Badge
