Position: Software Developer (Perl, UNIX Scripting, MySQL, Aurora, Node.js, Javascript, Jquery) - 2 Positions (REMOTE)
Location: Bethesda, MD
Duration: Full-Time Permanent positions (no contract, no corp to corp) - REMOTE
Remote = 100% Remote Option
Travel = About 20%

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

• Build solutions that enable sophisticated automation and workflows
• Implement cutting edge models and algorithms that operate on massive amounts of data
• Develop high performance and scalable solutions that extract, transform, and load big data
• Work with internal QA team on system, performance and acceptance testing
• Help the team leverage and contribute to open source technologies
• Make impact on a global scale

MUST-HAVES REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong aptitude for writing efficient code, that is maintainable, scalable and robust
• Perl and UNIX Scripting Skills (or a Perl related language and the desire to learn Perl)
• Knowledge of SQL and database technologies (MySQL, Aurora)
• Node.js and modern Javascript (ES2015, TypeScript, etc.)
• Javascript UI frameworks (Vue, Jquery)

NICE-TO-HAVES REQUIREMENTS:

• UI Modeling CSS and Bootstrap
• AWS and AWS Lambda
