Job Description

Come join our team as an Underground Plumber! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn the trade.

In this role, you will learn how to operate a mini excavator, lay pipe, and do level pitch excavating.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The operation of residential excavation with a Mini excavator.

• Safely operate a truck with excavator trailer.

• Have a working knowledge of safety equipment and PPE.

• Underground piping layout.

• Read blueprints.

• Work in all weather conditions with prolonged exposure to all weather patterns.

• Install underground drainage and water lines.

• Work as part of a team.

• Assemble, install, and repair pipes both sanitary drainage and water piping.

• Properly lay out and install underground piping for residential homes.

• Use safety equipment and personal protective equipment when doing so.

• Learn test out procedures for municipal inspections, and plumbing codes for installation.

• Demonstrate the knowledge of how to make proper connections of PVC, Copper and CPVC.

• Street restoration using slurry
• Knows proper prep for concrete cover
• Fluency with mini excavators
• Works well with helpers and drain techs
• Managing customer expectations and communication
• Works well with Estimators
• Cares about putting landscaping back as normal

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Must have a positive attitude and good attendance.
• Must be able to get along with fellow workers and others tradesman and or public that may be encountered on a day-to-day basis.
• Must be willing and able to always represent Fischer Plumbing in a positive manner.
• Must have a consistent and stable work history.
