Job Title: Unit Receptionist

Location: Flushing, NY 11355

Assignment Duration: 18 Weeks

Shift: Evening Shift | 3:30 PM - 11:45 PM

Pay Rate: Up to $19.00/hour (maximum)
Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Unit Receptionist to provide administrative and clerical support within a Nursing Administration department. This role places a strong emphasis on timekeeping, payroll coordination, and staff scheduling in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate timekeeping functions, including payroll-related data entry, validation, and corrections
• Assist with staff scheduling, shift coordination, and PRN coverage support
• Serve as the primary reception point for the nursing unit
• Professionally handle incoming calls, inquiries, and administrative requests
• Maintain staffing records, logs, reports, and unit documentation
• Operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, and phone systems
• Provide clerical and administrative support to nursing leadership as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent timekeeping experience (required)
• Strong experience with scheduling and payroll/timekeeping systems
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Typing speed of 60 WPM or higher , demonstrated by one of the following:
  
  • At least 1 year of clerical experience, or
  • Graduation from a commercial or secretarial school
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Solid knowledge of office equipment and administrative workflows

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Unit Receptionist, Unit Clerk, Administrative Assistant, or Medical Office Assistant
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
