Job Description

Overview The Web Developer, Junior will assist in the development, deployment, and maintenance of websites and software solutions to support organizational objectives. This role involves working within established frameworks, collaborating with team members to design effective features, and ensuring the technical quality and usability of web solutions. This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse. Responsibilities Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of websites and information systems. Collaborate with team members, including senior developers and other technical staff, to integrate features into existing software solutions. Test, troubleshoot, and deploy front-end tools and technologies, including JavaScript-based frameworks like React and Angular. Work with databases, including SQL, and leverage XML and JSON for data processing and storage. Support agile iterative development workflows by prioritizing end-user input for continuous improvement. Adhere to existing network and policy standards while building technical solutions. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors Degree required. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software or web development. Experience with front-end development frameworks and libraries such as JavaScript, React, Angular, or comparable tools. Familiarity with database systems, specifically SQL, and working with XML/JSON for data manipulation. Experience with agile development methodologies and iterative design practices. Proven ability to troubleshoot and test web applications in various deployment environments. Top Secret Security Clearance is required. Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. Minimum Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner. Strong working knowledge of front-end and back-end development practices. Problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions within technical and policy constraints. Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner. Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of microservices architecture using container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes. Scripting skills in Python or Bash for workflow automation. Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD. Proficiency in responsive design using frameworks like Bootstrap. Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and creating automated test scripts. Understanding of accessibility standards (ADA Section 508 compliance). Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, CompTIA Security+, or Adobe Certified Professional for front-end tools. Experience with collaboration tools like Jira, Trello, and Slack. Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, especially in fast-paced environments. Experience applying secure coding practices to web applications, including adhering to OWASP guidelines.
