We’re seeking an Art Director to join our in-office marketing team in Salt Lake City. This role is responsible for leading the planning, creation, and execution of photo, video, and graphic content across digital channels - including social media, email, website, and paid media. You’ll play a key role in shaping how both Borboleta.com and BorboletaPro.com show up visually and connect with their audiences.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, beauty-forward environment and is equally comfortable behind the camera, in front of Adobe Creative Cloud, and on set with a team. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing, education, and product teams to bring brand stories to life through a mix of lifestyle, product, and technical content.

• Own the full content creation pipeline—from concept to shoot to edit—for photo, video, and graphics

• Manage Social Media Manager + small team of contract designers - mentoring and inspiring them to deliver great work

• Build and maintain content calendars aligned with brand campaigns, launches, and seasonal moments

• Collaborate with lash educators and product experts to produce technical content that supports education and product usage

• Shoot and edit video for use across social media, email, and digital campaigns (including tutorials, BTS, reels, and branded storytelling)

• Design on-brand graphics and assets for use across digital and print channels

• Stay on top of trends and bring fresh creative ideas to the table

• Organize shot lists, assist in finding models and lash artists, and assist with directing photoshoots for product launches and content shoots

• Report on social media performance, key KPIs, and insights to optimize strategy

• 3-5+ years of experience as an Art Director or similar role

• Strong skills in graphic design, video editing, and photography/videography

• Strong visual storytelling abilities, paired with excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong experience with managing shoots for campaigns and product launches

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro

• Experience building out creative processes in project management tools like Asana or similar

• Experience working with brand guidelines and maintaining visual consistency across all marketing channels

• Ability to manage content calendars, juggle multiple projects, and work autonomously

• Creative, resourceful, trend-savvy, and detail-oriented

• Experience working with or creating content for a beauty or e-commerce brand

• Licensed lash artist or experience in the lash or beauty industry (preferred)

• If not currently licensed, must be willing to complete lash certification (provided by Borboleta) and develop professional lash skills drive creation of technical lash artist content for BorboletaPro

• Experience working with or creating content for a beauty or e-commerce brand

• Strong understanding of the lash artist community and salon culture
