We are looking for a Mid to Senior level HVAC Engineer (Hybrid role). Where do you live, we may have an office close to you as this position could sit in Boston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Philadelphia or others.

Some of your responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects particularly in the Commercial, Mission Critical or Lab space.
  • Work with and mentor younger HVAC staff on projects
  • Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications, and construction documents for high performance building systems.
  • Supervise and effectively manage technical development throughout all phases of design ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with company standards and good engineering practice.
  • Develops mechanical plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed on assigned tasks.
  • Technically involved in the resolution of design problems that may include performing filed investigation or inspections.
  • Knowledge and experience with mechanical calculations, equipment selection, ductwork layout, hydronic systems, and construction documents.
  • Understand Revit to allow leadership and direction for the design teams.
  • Attending field visits, developing visit reports, and meet with contractors, as necessary.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience designing HVAC systems in high performance facilities.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects
  • Communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Background in either commercial, hospitality or mission critical data centers is helpful
  • Professional commitment to sustainability, LEED accreditation is a plus.
  • A professional Engineering license is a plus

This position could sit in most of our offices and has a salary range of $95, 000 to $160,000. The range is dependent on whether you are mid or senior level, your years of experience, PE licensure, skill sets and education and is negotiable.
