PeriOperative Units:

• Outpatient Surgery Center PeriAnesthesia (OPSC Battle Building)
• Outpatient Surgery Center PACU (OPSC Battle Building)
• Outpatient Surgery Center PreOp (OPSC Battle Building)
• Orthopedic Center at Ivy Road (OCIR)
• Surgical Care Riverside (SCR)

OPSC PACU Overview:

• Fast-paced phase 1 and 2 recovery area
• Support for 12 ORs with diverse patient population
• Nurse to patient ratios follow ASPAN guidelines
• Schedule: M-F, 0700-1930, no nights, weekends, or holidays

OPSC PreOp Overview:

• Schedule: M-F, 0600-1630, no nights, weekends, or holidays

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.

Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Physical Demands:

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Position Compensation Range: $39.90 - $53.00 Hourly
